The range of ages when it's considered normal to begin walking is broader with this gross motor skill than with any other. Almost all infants are able to lift their head, for instance, between 2 and 4 months. But a child who walks as early as 9 months or as late as 18 months is right on schedule.

Don't be surprised this week if your child's budding mobility — whether she's crawling, cruising, or walking — means she's suddenly reluctant to be held or carried. Once your baby has had a taste of freedom, it will be hard to hold her back (This is absolutely right! Muaz at this age loves to explore everything and every part of the house. He refuses to be carried. In fact, he even doesn't want to be put on his car seat.  And to show that he protests, he cries so loudly. It can't be like that my dear. Mama has to drive and Muaz should sit properly. Kesabaran teruji di situ) (Outings to the grocery store or shopping mall, and traveling, may be particularly trying for you right now!) Try not to get too upset when she falls, and resist the urge to rush to her aid unless she's really hurt. Falling is an inevitable part of learning to walk. Cruising and walking on uneven surfaces, even subtle ones such as wrinkled carpet or a sand-filled play area, will likely trip her up for a time, but it's great practice. Just be patient and give your child safe places to test her new independence.

Your baby will likely find it hilarious if you can play at having more trouble with walking than she does: Try developing a little comic routine in which you are walking along where she can see you and then — whoops! — you trip and almost fall. It builds children's confidence to see a big person having their difficulty in a theatrical fashion that lets them laugh about it. As long as it keeps getting a laugh, keep doing it, and your child will become a more and more confident walker.

 If you haven't already, be sure to install a safety gate on any staircase with more than a step or two. A hardware-mounted gate is the best choice for stairs since a determined toddler can dislodge many pressure-mounted gates.

You don't need to rush out and buy shoes right away. Walking barefoot, on grass or sand, is actually good for a toddler because it helps build muscles in the lower legs while developing a sense of balance. Once your child is able and wants to walk in places where she might injure her feet, however, you'll need to put shoes on her. But you don't need to invest in a pair of shoes that costs as much as yours do. Since her shoes probably won't fit for very long, buying pricey pairs is a waste of money. Instead, look for canvas sneakers or soft leather shoes with flexible rubber soles. Never buy shoes that are a couple of sizes too big so your toddler can grow into them; she'll have trouble keeping her balance in them and she may trip. She should have about a half-inch of space between her big toe and the end of the shoe; if you can't feel her big toe, the shoe is too hard.

Sape lahir bulan Mei?

Yes I am. 

I have been reading this, Mengenal Diri Melalui Bulan Kelahiran (a study by Dr. Fadhilah Kamsah) for years since I was in school. And today i received it again through email sent by my officemate. Love to read this because most of the statements are absolutely true and very relevant to me.  

Kekerasan hati & degil (true), kuat semangat & bermotivasi tinggi (ya a bit), pemikiran yg tajam (a lil bit) mudah marah apabila tidak dikawal (true, dats y silent is the best policy), pandai menarik hati org lain & menarik perhatian (hmm...i don have comment for this one), perasaan yg amat mendalam  (towards the people i love, yes!), cantik dr segi mental & fizikal (let people judge on it) tidak perlu dimotivasikan (think so..haha), tetap pendirian tetapi mudah dipengaruhi oleh org lain (hmm), mudah dipujuk (true lagi cepat kalau dgn hadiah yg best2 ;p), bersikap sistematik (otak kiri) (think so), suka berangan (ya), kuat daya firasat (sometime, coz most of the things become real), memahami apa yg terlintas di hati org lain tanpa diberitahu (i am not ahli nujum ;)) bahagian telinga & leher mudah diserang penyakit (alhamdulillah..never) daya khayalan yg tinggi (hmm), permikiran yg tajam  (i hope so), pandai berdebat (debate competetion in memory ;) i used to debate when i was in primary school.. ya i am sceptical on certain issue) fizikal yg baik (alhamdulillah), kelemahan sistem pernafasan (alhamdulillah sihat), suka sastera, seni & muzik (biasa2 aje) serta melancong tidak berapa suka duduk dirumah (true) , tidak boleh duduk diam (bole je) tidak punya ramai anak (dont know yet, the more the merrier ;p), rajin dan bersemangat tinggi (esp to make my dream comes true) n agak boros (when it comes to buy Muaz's clothes..heh)

Siapa yang suka menyondol@menumus?

Sape lagi kalau bukan Muaz sayang aka Omel. Dah makin besar, makin manja. Maklumlah dikelilingi oleh dayang2 kat umah wan sini. Kalau balik Maran xdela dayang2, awang2 ade la. Dah pandai majuk. Bila org marah, mula la dia buat muka. Cengginila gayanyer...

Tapi gamba ni ada unsur2 senyuman skit. Ada muka yg lagi serius.

Kadang2 nak marah pun tak jadi bila dia menyengeh sampai kecik2 mata dibuatnya. Lemah rasenye...hehe (tu la senjata Muaz). Takleh2 kdg2 kene serius gak ngan anak ni. Nanti dia ingat kita main2 jer..

6 batang gg skang ni yang suka menggeget jari + nip*le mama..babap kang ;)

Satu lagi habit Muaz yang dah lama dikesan. Suka menyondol2. Bila menyondol2 dah tau la tu mengendeng2 nak susu. Anak korang camni x? Rasa tersentuh naluri keibuan bila anak tercari2 maknya, datang dekat then terus menyondol2 sambil menumus kat peha maknya.

Ni masa hari raya. Dah busan main datang cari mama ;)

Hari ni Muaz dah setahun 3 minggu. Kalau dah masuk umur setahun ni, soklan yang selalu muncul di mulut mak2 ni ialah "Anak dah jalan dah?" Takde masalah dengan soklan ni sebenarnyer. So saya akan jawab "Muaz belum jalan lagi. Bab2 meniti tu dah bole la. Cuma blum ada confident." "Eh, lambat la. Dah setahun tak jalan lagi." Haa...part ni yang saya tak boleh dengar. Komen macam ni sangat sensitif. Apa salahnye diam atau cakap "Tak lama lagi jalan la tu." Kan sedap skit bunyinyer. Hishhhh....please talk nicely.

Itu pasal orang kata anak kita. Ada gak sesetengah ibu ni suka condem anak sendiri. Tak tahulah dengan niat atau tanpa niat. Boleh plak kata anak dia memang lambat, belaja pun lambat pick up. Ape la perasaan anak dia kan kalau dicakap kat depan org ramai. Pada saya ibu ni kene bersikap positif terhadap anak2. Lebih baik diam dari kluar perkataan yang tak elok. Kene ingat jugak apa yang keluar dari mulut ibu tu satu doa. Kelemahan dan kekurangan memang ada. Tanggungjawab pada ibu bapalah yang akan membetulkan dan memperbaiki kelemahan tu (haa..amik kau saya dah berceramah) ;p

Takziah

Pagi ni kami baru je dapat berita pemergian suami rakan sepejabat saya. Sedey juga rasanya. Semoga roh beliau ditempatkan di kalangan orang2 yang beriman. Al-Fatihah.

Bila berita kematian berlaku di depan mata sering buat saya jadi insaf seketika. (seketika je?) Selalu terpikir...Adakah saya telah bersedia sekiranya nyawa dicabut pada saat ini? Oh..tidak. Dah cukup ke amalan untuk dibawa ke sana? Masih banyak lagi yang perlu diperbaiki. Bagaimana rasanya saat2 melalui sakaratul maut? Nobody knows. Dalam keadaan bagaimana nyawa saya dicabut? Ohh...meremang bulu roma bila memikirkannya. My bos does said orang yang sedang nazak akan berasa sangat dahaga. Saya juga pernah terbaca di saat seseorang berhadapan dengan sakaratul maut bacalah Surah Yassin kerana sesungguhnya ia dapat memudahkan saat2 seseorang itu menghembuskan nafasnya.

Ramadhan dah lama berlalu. Hari ni hari terakhir Syawal. Ramai lagi yang buat open house di penghujung Syawal ni. Konti HOT FM pun wat open house gak hari ni. Kat opis ni kang pun ada jamuan raya lagi. 

Ada kelainannya raya tahun ni bagi saya. Yang lainnya sebab :

1. Raya dah tak macam masa zaman budak2 dulu. Malam raya mesti main bunga api. Tak sabar nak pakai baju baru di pagi raya. Rindu lak saat2 tu..;)
2. Raya tahun ni anak saya dah setahun. Macam2 dah yang die bole buat klu compare dgn tahun lepas die asik tdo je masa org dtg beraya kat umah mak. Yela masa tu kan dia masih dalam hari lagi.
3. Tahun ni 1st time beraya di rumah mertua. Mak mertua dan saya masak rendang ayam, nasi impit, kuah kacang, lemang (kami beli saje). Sebagai tambahan ada kuah lodeh (yang ni saya masak ye...walaupun satu je nak kecoh juga ;p) Tapi tak sangka kuah lodeh tu adalah something yg agak special di Maran (pujian untuk diri sendiri..hehe..yg bestnyer sebelum masak tpon mak dulu tanya resepi ;p)
4. Banyak juga jemputan open house yang saya dapat esp opismate. Time kasih daun keladi, tahun depan wat lagi. Yang saya sempat pegi umah Fathiyah, Kak Noris n jiran umah. Umah En. Yusoff n Darlin sorry tak dapat pegi sebab dapat berita Mak Long. Maybe umah Farid pun tak dapat pegi gak malam nih sbb abah outstation. Open house MOH wajib pegi. Saje memeriahkan suasana.
5. Dalam bulan Syawal ni, dua orang kesayangan saya telah kembali ke Rahmatullah. Minggu pertama Syawal Tok sebelah suami dan minggu berikutnya Mak Long saya. Sedey sbb kalau diizinkan Allah bertemu lagi Syawal tahun depan, kedua2nya dah tiada. Semoga roh mereka ditempatkan di kalangan orang2 beriman. Al-Fatihah.
6. Zaman muda remaja dulu sempat gak puasa 6 tapi skang hmm...;( sedey...ntah sempat ntah tidak bertemu Syawal tahun depan.

Apa lagi ek?? Tu je la kot yang sempat terpikir ;) By the way i still enjoy my Hari Raya. Yang bestnyer Muaz ler dapat banyak duit raya. Toceh2 ;) Murah rezeki sumer.

Last 2 days, when i was tidying up all my stuffs in the room (tetiba terrajin + my bos was not in  so  i decided to take this opportunity to clean everything and throw away the unnecessary things) i found two things. The first one were 3 envelopes of duit raya which were given by my immediate bos n cant remember the other one. Wah, banyak jugak duit patah kandar (like abah has always said). Almost RM200 ya...wink*wink*

The second thing i found was my old thumb drive. Surprisingly, all of my DPA's pics were safely in the file. 

Family angkat masa penempatan kampung di Kg. Kuala Besut, Besut (dekat ngan jeti Pulau Perhentian ye)

Tempat kami berkumpul selalunya kat Dataran Kuala Besut (eh gamba ni masa besday saya la..;p)

Sky is d limit

It seems so easy, yet complicated. But if i never give a try, i will never know. I need to make up my mind. Therefore, irrespective of all the negative thoughts in my mind, i right away started off with the first step. This actually have two parts. The first step of the first part is done last week. Let's see how does the second step of the first part is going to be next 2 weeks. At the same time, i will look into the second part as well. I do hope and always pray that everything will run smoothly as i wish it's gonna be the best experience ever! InsyaAllah.
